About the Challenge¶
Universal Cup Challenge is committed to building a bridge between competitive programming talent and industry. We believe that competitive programming contestants with strong algorithmic capabilities can bring tremendous value to modern technology companies, while the actual needs of industry can provide a vast stage for competitive programming talent to showcase their abilities. Therefore, through partnerships with renowned companies such as Huawei, we combine algorithmic competitions with real-world industry needs, providing genuine technical challenges and career development opportunities for outstanding competitive programming contestants worldwide.
Registration Notes¶
- The contest will start on December 17 20:00 (UTC+8) to December 24 20:00 (UTC+8) and contains 1 exciting problem prepared by Huawei.
- The contest platform is Universal Cup Challenge Platform (https://challenge.ucup.ac)
- Participants should agree the privacy policy and the conditions and rules of participation.
- Participants should not communicate with other participants, use another person's code for solutions/generators, share ideas of solutions and hacks.
- Participants should not attempt to deliberately destabilize the testing process and try to hack the contest system in any form.
- Participants should not use multiple accounts and should take part in the contest using your personal and the single account.
- Participants should have read the regulations on online materials at the following link: https://ucup.ac/rule/online-stage/#online-materials and agreed to comply with them.
- Participants should have read the regulations on AI assistants at the following link: https://ucup.ac/rule/online-stage/#fair-use-of-generative-ai and agreed to comply with them.
How to Register¶
To participate in the contest, participants can register on the platform in one of the following three ways:
- If you have registered as a member of an official Universal Cup team, you can log in with your personal QOJ ID.
- If you have registered on QOJ, you can log in with your QOJ ID without email verification.
- Register directly on the contest platform.
Other¶
First, you need to register on the platform, then you can click "Register now" to join the contest. After filling out the extra information form and agreeing to the privacy policy and the conditions and rules of participation, you can successfully attend the contest.
If you already have a Universal Cup account, the information and agreement will be automatically filled in.
If you register the Universal Cup account for the first time, you need to fill in the information and agreement.

The champion will be invited as a guest (with full accommodation and travel expense covered) to the 2026 Universal Cup Finals.
The champion will be awarded at the time and will be invited to participate in the onsite challenge.
