欢迎来到第三届 Universal Cup Semifinals 闭幕式，在正式结果揭露之前，请允许我花一点时间和大家分享一些本次赛事筹办中的心得体会。

Welcome to the Closing Ceremony of the 3rd Universal Cup Semifinals. Before the official results are announced, please allow me to take a moment to share some thoughts from organizing this event.

上次和大家见面还是二月份在东莞的决赛，在那之后，Universal Cup并没有满足于现状，我们在接纳了来自大家的反馈和建议后，继续前进，不断进步，转眼半年已过。 然而就在这半年，无论是世界还是我们的算法竞赛社区，发生的变化远超我们的想象。无论我们是否承认，AI时代带来的巨大变革终于还是来临了。 一方面，AI真正成为了我们高效解题的助手，帮助我们快速组织算法思路，高效完成代码编写。然而，滥用AI导致的违反公平竞赛原则的现象已经以井喷式开始涌现。 而一个更本质的问题是，如果AI的解题能力已经达到甚至超过我们当中最优秀的选手，那算法竞赛本身是否还有存在的必要。

The last time we met was in February at the Finals in Dongguan. Since then, the Universal Cup has not been content with ourselves. After listening to feedback and suggestions, we have continued moving forward and making progress. Half a year has flown by. Yet within these six months, both the world at large and our programming competition community have undergone changes far beyond what we could have imagined.

Whether we admit it or not, the transformative era of AI has indeed arrived. On one hand, AI has truly become a powerful assistant in problem solving—helping us quickly form algorithmic ideas and efficiently complete code implementation. On the other hand, we have also seen an explosive rise of integrity issues caused by the misuse of AI, which violates the very principles of fair competition. And perhaps an even more fundamental question arises: if AI’s problem-solving ability has already reached, or even surpassed, that of our very best contestants... then what does that mean for the very existence of algorithmic competitions?

如此一个深刻的问题也许需要长时间的思考、交流和总结，但对于 Universal Cup 来说，我们的答案始终如一，简单而明确：我们之所以致力于打造社区， 致力于进行资源统合和整理，正是因为我们对于算法竞赛本身的热爱，以及对其意义的深信不疑。

Such a profound question may require long periods of discussion, and exploration. Yet for the Universal Cup, our answer has never wavered—clear and resolute: we devote ourselves to building the community, to consolidating and organizing resources, precisely because of our deep love for algorithmic competitions and our unwavering belief in their enduring value.

但光有一腔热情是不够的，需要有脚踏实地的行动。为了更加专业，更加高效地服务社区，我们组织内部进行了人员扩充和架构重组。在这次半决赛中， 科学委员会、技术委员会和组织委员会各司其职，分工合作，顺利完成了赛事准备工作。我们还新组建了一支负责直播的专业团队，本次半决赛的赛中和闭幕式直播， 都由他们组织完成，未来他们还将参与到各大赛事的直播、宣传工作中。

But passion alone is not enough—it must be matched with concrete actions. To serve the community more professionally and more efficiently, we expanded our team and restructured our organization. In this Semifinal, the Scientific Committee, the Technical Committee, and the Organizing Committee each carried out their responsibilities, working hand in hand to ensure the smooth preparation of the contest. We also formed a brand-new professional livestreaming team, who have successfully delivered both the in-contest coverage and the Closing Ceremony broadcast. Looking ahead, they will continue to take part in livestreaming and promotion for our major events.

利用休赛期，我们的系统完成了升级，从下赛季开始，每个队伍账号将同队员账号绑定，如果有出现成员替换或者缺席，也可以方便地自定义队伍构成。 我们希望通过这些努力保证队伍参赛信息的清晰准确，以及赛事的公平透明。我们还会致力于提高赛事，尤其是有效积分赛事的质量，改良积分公式， 使其能更好地反映队伍水平表现。

During the season-off, our system underwent an upgrade. Starting from the next season, each team account will be linked with its member accounts, making it easier to adjust the team composition in cases of member substitution or absence. Through these efforts, we aim to ensure that team participation information remains clear and accurate, and that the contest itself stays fair and transparent. We will also continue to improve the quality of our contests, especially the rated ones. We also plan to refine the rating formula so that it better reflects the true performance of each team.

针对 AI 的使用，我们正在制定具体细则，预计将在下半年新赛季开始时进行公布，我们希望最大程度上保证赛事公平，让算法竞赛的核心维持在经验、思维、 代码的比拼上，保证所有参赛队伍都能在同等环境下享受算法竞赛的乐趣。

Regarding the use of AI, we are currently formulating detailed regulations, which are expected to be announced at the start of the new season later this year. Our goal is to ensure the highest level of fairness in the contests, keeping the core of programming competitions focused on experience, problem-solving thinking, and coding skills, so that all participating teams can enjoy the challenge on an equal footing.
